Virtual Ceremonies

What is a Virtual Ceremony and how does it work?

This is the question I have been asked the most lately.

Put simply, a virtual ceremony is a ceremony that you could have in person but is performed live and recorded on a video conferencing forum via the internet, by a proficient and experienced officiant.

These virtual ceremonies with all the “feels” are truly the most amazing keepsake for a beautiful couple or that loved one, when conducted competently.

The most popular type of virtual ceremony that I am conducting at the moment, is a commitment ceremony or unity ceremony, where a couple has had to post pone their legal wedding ceremony to another date.   We acknowledge this original wedding date and still feel the emotional connection that this special date holds for them.

The up and coming amazing Mother’s Day virtual ceremonies/celebrations are proving very popular – Mum is the star of the show and rightly so.  These are so very special and “the best gift ever” for Mum.  A virtual Mother’s Day video celebration, starring Mum!  It really is the next best thing, other than sharing this day with her in person.

There are no limits to what type of celebration a virtual ceremony can be held for:- graduation, birthdays, anniversaries, re-unions, renewal of vows, just to say I love you to that someone special in your life.  Live music can also be included!

Only a proficient and experienced officiant should offer this service, as so many things can and do go wrong when using technology, as we all know.

When I conduct a virtual ceremony there are so many more intricacies I consider.  It includes not only directing the scene, but also managing all of the sound, lighting and participants and their technology as well.  Trouble shooting is often required, whilst you are actually conducting the ceremony and without any of the participants being aware.

There are a multitude of technical and complicated challenges for your celebrant/officiant to manage before, during and after a virtual ceremony

and it should be conducted by someone who is very familiar with the required technology and challenges it poses.

I am so elated that I am able to offer amazing virtual ceremonies, especially during this time, where we are physically distanced from our extended families and friends.  This is truly an unforgettable gift that instantly becomes a treasured memory that will be kept forever.

Let’s do this together and make your next celebration as exceptional and impressive as it should be.

Love Sharon xx
