Congratulations! You’ve recently become engaged and you and your fiance have no idea where to start!
It can often be a very overwhelming and daunting time, knowing that there is so much to do, but it doesn’t have to be.
This is such an exciting time, enjoy it! There are so many resources to be found online, these include free wedding planners that are downloadable and printable. Many of my bride and grooms have successfully used these. They have all wedding planning details along with suggested timelines for each.
So, where do we begin? Just start at the beginning and work your way through, depending on your personal requirements.
Or, you can simply make your own list and tick them off as you go. There is no right on wrong way to do this, it’s whichever method you are most comfortable with. I definitely recommend keeping this information saved on your device so you can update it as you go, or documented in some way for easy reference.
Your celebrant can be booked as early as you like and the legal paperwork to be completed no more than 18 months prior to your wedding date, please, do not leave this until the last minute. Amazing celebrants are booked in advance and if you have a preferred celebrant, the sooner you book them the better! The latest that you can book your marriage celebrant, is one clear month prior to your set wedding date, if you are lucky enough to find one that is still available for that date.
